On leaving school I trained as a Graphic Designer and illustrator, subsequently gaining membership of The Chartered Society of Designers

My long and successful career took me around Europe and to America designing for many High Street names and other prestigious companies. Gaining valuable experience in viewpoints on art and design I also picked up a number of awards along the way, some of which can be seen here.

Now retired I have the chance to concentrate on Fine Art; to draw and paint is a need in me that has to be fulfilled so I set aside time every day for this. For many years now I have attended Life Drawing Workshops in order to constantly sharpen the ability to see and therefore to draw.
Most of what I do is of a figurative nature; this coupled with my design background can produce some stylish artworks which look good in almost any situation. I now exhibit with local Societies and have gained by word of mouth, many opportunities to sell my works.
